Dante Fabbro Trade Possible
Rumour: Sportsnet’s Jeff Marek said the Predators are open for business during Saturday night’s Headlines segment on Hockey Night in Canada. Marek said that Filip Forsberg, Roman Josi and Juuse Saros are off-limits, but retiring general manager David Poile will listen on others. One of those players is Fabbro, who is a former first-round pick.

It’s not been a good few seasons for the former 17th overall pick of the 2016 NHL Draft. Marek said that talks expect to pick up and thinks Fabbro will be moved prior to Friday. The San Jose Sharks are one of the teams are believed to be interested in the British Columbia native according to Marek.
When Will a Dante Fabbro Trade Happen?
The Predators have been making moves like dealing Nino Niederreiter, but more will probably come. It looks like Poile is going to clean house before stepping away. Nashville has been too inconsistent this season and will have to re-tool.
Fabbro could also do with a change of scenery with a deal. The 24-year-old’s best season with the Predators was last season. However, he only managed 24 points in 2022-23. It seems like there’s something missing and Fabbro hasn’t taken the next step. A fresh start may jumpstart his career. He’s shown some glimpses of being a good blueliner, but he’ll have to do it away from Nashville.
