After giving it thought, Patrick Kane waived his no-movement clause and accepted a trade. The Chicago Blackhawks have traded the star winger to the New York Rangers. In return, Chicago will receive a 2023 second round pick. Kane is a pending unrestricted free agent at the season’s end. Rather than lose him for nothing potentially this summer, he was able to waive and accept a trade as the Hawks undergo a rebuild.

It is hard to imagine Patrick Kane playing in another team’s jersey, but here it is. The long-time Blackhawks winger was monumental in the team’s dynasty run.
