Carl Nassib joins The Trevor Project
Former Las Vegas Raiders defensive end and historic NFL figure Carl Nassib has taken on a vital role in his post-playing career.
The Trevor Project recently announced that Nassib has joined the organization’s Board of Directors. The Trevor Project, is the leading suicide prevention organization for LGBTQ+ young people.
Nassib helped The Trevor Project in the spotlight when he announced he is gay in June, 2021 while playing for the Raiders. Nassib is the first and only active NFL player to come out as an active player.
He has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to The Trevor Project and the NFL has since built a relationship with the organization. as well.
Nassib, 31, retired from the NFL after playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022. He played for the Raiders in 2020-21.
