Las Vegas is looking for skill-position help again
Two of the positions that the Las Vegas Raiders could use early draft picks on are at running back and wide receiver.
Sound familiar?
It should.
A recent tweet by NFL analyst Warren Sharp, showed a chart on which teams have spent the most draft capital on skill players (wide receivers, running backs and tight ends) since the 2019 draft. The Raiders came in at the third highest rate. Here is Sharp’s complete list:

Indeed, the Raiders have spent big at these positions in recent years and because of misses, trades and free agency they have big needs at two of those positions again. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the Raiders (who have the No. 6 and No. 37 picks in the first two rounds) use their first two picks on ball-position players.
he key is getting them right so they can tend to other needs in the near future.

- Top rookie class: PFF ranked the Raiders’ 2024 rookie season as among the most productive in the league.
