Lead running back had a rough game against Chiefs
A lot of Las Vegas Raiders did not perform well in a Week 8 home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, so there was plenty of blame to go around and the defeat wasn’t because of one player.
But several players need to bounce back in Week 9 at the Cincinnati Bengals (kickoff is set for 10 a.m. PT). One of those players is lead running back Alexander Mattison.
Mattison had 15 yards rushing on 14 carries in the loss to Kansas City. According to the Associated Press, it was the third lowest per carry average in a game in Raiders’ team history.
Corrects this: Mattison’s 1.07 yards/carry is s 3rd worst for #Raiders player with 14+ carries in a game:
Clem Daniels -0.07 vs Patriots Week 1 1964
Napoleon Kaufman 0.93 vs Saints Week 11 1997 https://t.co/LEIw0hOnST— Josh Dubow (@JoshDubowAP) October 27, 2024
Mattison, a free-agent addition, has been a solid performer for the Raiders this season. He needs a bounce back game Sunday.
