Raider Nation is happy with the first round pick out of Georgia
The Las Vegas Raiders were expected to draft a quarterback. However, for the first time since 1983, six quarterbacks went in the first round.
This left the Raiders with 13 options, with tons of high-level talent still on the board. Tom Telesco shocked Raider Nation by selecting elite tight end prospect Brock Bowers out of Georgia.
Bowers is a two-time Jon Mackey winner with 2538 career receiving yards during his time with the Bulldogs. Bowers can be utilized in multiple ways, from reverses to playing out of the slot.
In this week’s SB Nation Reacts, we asked Raiders fans their grade for the pick. 48% of Raiders fans gave an A, while 31% gave a B.
Once the shock wore off when Bowers’s name was called, fans realized how special of a weapon he could be. Bowers can be used in various ways, having five rushing touchdowns during his career. He is a weapon that will test Luke Getsy’s ability to be creative with his playcalling.
It will be exciting to see the results from Bowers on the field.
