Mark Thewes takes over as the Raiders VP of football operations and Strategy. He joins the Raiders front office after 16 years in Denver. He takes a similar position with the Raiders as he most recently had with the Broncos; a position he held for the past three years.
Prior to his time as VP of football ops and compliance, Thewes had been the team’s director of team administration for eight years (2012-19). Prior to that he had been assistant to the head coach for several years.
During that time, Raiders new GM John Spytek was also with the Broncos for a stint from 2013-15, first as an area scout, then as a national scout.
