He could be there at 6 if Raiders want him
Many people think Shedeur Sanders could be the No. 6 overall draft pick by the Las Vegas Raiders if he is available.
But that’s the big question. Some league observers think Sanders could go off the board at No. 3 by the New York Giants or he could tumble down the draft board.
The Giants, of course, recently signed veteran quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson, which puts into question whether they will take a quarterback at No. 3. There are reports that they are still, indeed, interested in addressing the position early. because both Wilson and Winston are short-term answers and the Giants’ are conducting a private workout with Sanders this week, so the interest is real. Still, New York could wait a year and give Wilson more to work with in the first round, such as Sanders’ Colorado teammate Travis Hunter if he’s available.
We recently asked our community members if they think the Giants will pass on Sanders, opening the door him at No. 6.
In a tight vote, 55 percent of the voters think he will be available for the Raiders, while 45 percent think the Giants will snag him.
My current feel is Sanders, who just visited Las Vegas, will be there for the Raiders if they want him. If so, we’ll see what happens.
