Veterans could be on the roster bubble today
We will know the Las Vegas Raiders’ initial 53-man roster this afternoon as the deadline is 1 p.m. PT.
There will be a ton of intrigue as several name players may be on the roster bubble. Two of the better known players who may be on the cutting block are wide receiver John Brown and safety Karl Joseph.
Both men played a lot Sunday in the Raiders’ preseason finale at the San Francisco 49ers. Most of the team’s key contributors didn’t even make the trip to California, so Brown and Joseph’s presence on the field fueled speculation that they both may be at risk.
In his final 53-man projection, our Matt Holder predicted both Brown and Joseph — who both signed with the Raiders in free agency this offseason — will be cut.
UPDATE: Joseph has been cut.
UPDATE: Brown was cut, too.
I honestly would be surprised if either them are released. I think they both deserve to be on the roster.
What do you think? Please take our polls on both players and express your thoughts in the comment section below.
