Geno Smith’s new deal with the #Raiders is for two years and $85.5M max value with $66.5M guaranteed, per source.
Vegas and Smith started working on the deal upon last month’s trade, now official weeks before the draft.

Smith, who will turn 35 in October, had one year remaining on his three-year, $75 million deal with the Seahawks. His desire for a new deal was a big reason why Seattle made the trade.
He is making $31 million this season, so the deal is for three years worth $116.5 million.
Smith will be under contract through the 2027 season. He will be 37 when his contract ends. The Raiders hope he can be the starter through that period, but they will also likely draft a quarterback this month to groom under Smith.
This was expected since the Raiders traded a third-round pick (No. 92) to the Seattle Seahawks for Smith. The trade was agreed upon March 7 and became official when the new league year began March 12. The deal got done five days before the Raiders start their offseason program in which Smith is expected to be a big part of.
New Raiders coach Pete Carroll is clearly comfortable with Smith. The journeyman found his groove in Seattle, where he played from 2020-24 (the first four years under Carroll). Smith, who has often raved about Carroll’s influence on him, has been Seattle’s starter the past three seasons.
This new deal backs up what both Carroll and new Raiders general manager John Spytek have said — they expect Smith to be the Raiders’ quarterback for a while.
Smith is 40-43 as a career starter, but went 28-24 as Seattle’s starter. Smith threw for a career high 4,320 yards (a career high) with 21 touchdown passes and 15 interceptions in 2024. He also completed a career-high 70.4 percent of his passes last season.
Now, Smith got his money and the Raiders expect big dividends.
