What do you think about future of young wide receiver?
Second-year wide receiver Tre Tucker has been a starter for the Las Vegas Raiders for most of the 2024 season.
That wasn’t the plan for 2023 third-round pick from Cincinnati. But plans changed when the thigns went sideways with No. 1 Raiders’ wide receiver Davante Adams early in the season, culminating with his October trade to the New York Jets.
That trade made No. 2 Raiders’ wide receiver Jakobi Meyers the No. 1 in place of Adams and it elevated Tucker to a starter. The Cincinnati product get starter’s snaps for nearly three quarters of the season.
The truth is a Tucker was inconsistent in 2024 as he was as a rookie. He made some strides and his big-league speed flashed. But there were plenty of games were he made no impact and didn’t produce close to what a starting wide receiver is supposed to produce.
The Raiders will have to decide if they want to continue with Tucker as a starter or try to get another starting wide receiver in either the draft or in free agency (the probable route) with Meyers.
What do you think they should do?
