Bengals star could be traded in offseason
Some league observers believe there could be a huge talent available in the offseason as the Cincinnati Bengals may look to trade star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
If the Bengals do, indeed, look to move Chase, there will be no shortage of teams interested. Chase won’t be 25 until March and he is already an elite player who is just reaching his prime.
Would you like the Las Vegas Raiders to try to acquire Chase if he does become available?
he would be the team’s best receiver, by far. It would allow Jakobi Myers to be the No. 2 option, which he’s best suited for and an offense featuring Chase and star tight end Brock Bowers would be dangerous and their presence would be instrumental for a rookie quarterback the team hopes to draft next year.
Chase would be looking for a huge contract, but the Raiders are projected to have among the most salary-cap room in the NFL in 2025, so they will be able to accommodate a new deal.
The sticking point for Las Vegas pursuing Chase would be the trade compensation. Sports Illustrated recently reported the Bengals could get similar to what the Kansas City Chiefs received from the Miami Dolphins when they traded receiver Tyreek Hill in 2022. Kanas City received a first, second, two fourth and a sixth round pick in the deal.
Because they want to draft a quarterback, the Raiders would have to start an offer with their 2025 second-round pick or add their 2026 first-round pick.
The Raiders have many needs throughout the roster, so giving up so much draft capital would be difficult to justify even for a talent like Chase.
