Maxx Crosby vouched for free agent this week
Once the Las Vegas Raiders get their new coaching staff and front office hired, one of the first orders of business will be to make a plan for free agency.
The Raiders are projected to have among the most salary-cap room (more than $90 million) and a lot of holes to fill. One of the areas Las Vegas will need to address this offseason is at running back.
It is an area the team can address in free agency.
One of the top running backs expected to be available is Najee Harris of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Harris is not a game-changing back, but he is consistent and he is productive both as a rusher and as a pass catcher out of the backfield. He is a workhorse who had 1,043 rushing yards in 2024. He has been a 1,000-yard rusher all four of his NFL seasons since being a first-round pick out of Alabama. He had 36 catches in 2024.
This week, on his podcast, ‘The Rush’ Raiders’ star defensive end Maxx Crosby said he’d be on board if Las Vegas signed Harris in March. “I’d love to have a guy like Najee around,” Crosby said on the podcast. “Selfishly, he could come to Vegas all day.”
Do you agree with Crosby on a potential Harris fit?
