There are still some nice positional fits on the market on Day 3
It’s Day 3 of NFL free agency and the Las Vegas Raiders have been filling needs with modest contracts. They are plenty of needs remaining and the team has many to spend.
Let’s look at some of the possible fits remaining on the market:
Asante Samuel:
The Raiders need a nickel cornerback to replace Nate Hobbs, who signed a four-year deal with Green Bay, and Samuel could be a fit. The former Chargers’ second-round pick is a solid player. He’s dealt with injuries in 2024, but he would be a nice addition
Amari Cooper:
Say what you want, but the former Raiders’ first-round pick is probably the best starting wide receiver on the market and the team is reportedly looking for a starter. Cooper could likely be had for reasonable contract.
Keenan Allen:
Allen will turn 33 next month and may be nearing the end. But he played for new Raiders’ receivers coach Chris Beatty for two teams in the past four seasons. So, this is something to keep an eye on.

Tyler Lockett:
Lockett has been connected to the Raiders since he was released by the Seattle Seahawks last week. He and new Raiders coach Pete Carroll were together for a nearly decade and this pairing makes so much sense.
Cooper Kupp:
The Rams’ super-productive receiver will be released today. He could make sense for the Raiders’ offense on a short-term deal, but he should have a robust market.
The #Raiders would have interest if the price is right, per sources, but it’s hard to see Kupp taking a discount to join a franchise in flux. https://t.co/cLTXHnZyoZ

Rasul Douglas:
Douglas, who was the the Raiders in training camp in 2021, is considered the best cornerback available on the market by many. The Raiders could always use good players there.
Mike Hilton:
See above.
Azeez OJulari:
The Giants’ pass-rusher has some juice. He has 22 career sacks. He may be looking for a big contract, but if the price is right, adding him to the pass-rush mix wouldn’t be a terrible idea.
J.K. Dobbins:
The Raiders need a running back and Dobbins may be the best veteran available. Even if Las Vegas drafts a running back early, it could help them having a player of Dobbins in their offense, which should be run-heavy, on a short-term deal.
