Longtime rival wide receiver may be a fit
Chris Beatty has been an NFL wide receivers coach for four seasons.
He has coached Keenan Allen all four seasons with two different teams.
Could a fifth straight season with a third team together be on the horizon for Beatty and Allen? Well, it’s possible.
Allen is a free agent and Beatty, who recently became the Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver coach, would surely be interested in reuniting. Beatty has often praised for Allen for his skills and game intelligence.
The Raiders could use another veteran wide receiver. While Allen, who turns 33, may be nearing the end of his career, the former Los Angeles Chargers star who was traded to the Chicago Bears and to Beatty last year, is still a quality player.
It would not be a surprise at all if the Raiders decide to make a run at Allen, pairing him and his wide receiver coach for the third time.
