You like the idea of signing the Minnesota running back?
One of the positions the Las Vegas Raiders most look to improve at this offseason is at running back.
The position was a weak spot in 2024 as the Raiders struggled to replace star Josh Jacobs, who departed for the Green Bay Packers in free agency. The Raiders will surely try to address the position in either the draft or free agency. If the Raiders do go the free agent route at running back, one possibility is signing Aaron Jones of the Minnesota Vikings. NFL.com likes the fit between Jones and the Raiders.
Jones, 30, would be a short-term answer for the Raiders, but he could still be productive for a season or two. After a strong career in Green Bay, Jones produced for the Vikings.
He had a career-high 1,138 rushing yards and averaged 4.5 yards per carry for Minnesota. Jones has surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in four of his eight NFL seasons.
He is a strong leader and good in the locker room. Signing him to a reasonably priced contract could work for the Raiders. Thoughts?
