Assistant has worked for head coach Pete Carroll in the past
The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Pete Carroll as their new head coach. He built his new staff. He has hired Andy Dickerson as an assistant offensive line coach.
Let’s get to know Dickerson better:
Age:
43.
Last job:
He was the offensive line coach of the Cleveland Browns in 2024. He was fired.
Ties to Carroll:
He worked for Carroll with the Seattle Seahawks from 2021-23. He was the Seahawks’ offensive run game coordinator in 2021 and their offensive line coach in 2022-23.
Coaching experience:
Dickerson has been an NFL coach since 2006.
Why the Raiders would hire him:
Carroll has a worked with Dickerson in the past and likely feels strongly to have some with his experience as an offensive line coach as an assistant offensive line coach. Dickerson and senior offensive assistant Joe Philbin, who finished the 2024 season as the Raiders’ interim offensive line coach, will help new Raiders’ offensive line coach Brennan Carroll.
