Could coach make a return to the Raiders?
New Las Vegas Raiders coach Pete Carroll is assembling his assistant coaching staff.
Among the names he could be considering is Tom Cable as the offensive line coach. The Athletic recently reported Cable could be on Carroll’s radar.
Cable is certainly a familiar name to both Carroll and the Raiders.
Carroll was the Raiders’ offensive line coach in 2007-08. He finished the ‘08 season as the interim head coach and then was kept for the 2009-10 season as the head coach. He came back as the Raiders’ offensive line coach from 2018-21.
Cable was Carroll’s offensive line coach with the Seattle Seahawks from 2011-17.
Cable, 60, hasn’t coached since leaving the Raiders’ in 2021.
So, Cable could be back for his third tenure with the Raiders and his second go around as Carroll’s offensive line coach.
