Community Pulse: Feeling positive about Tom Brady-led offseason

Hope and excitement for fan base this offseason

It’s the start of the offseason and for the loyal fan base of the Las Vegas Raiders’ that has often meant it’s a time for constant change and uncertainty.

It seems every offseason there is some type of major change for the franchise. After all, this is the sixth full-tie coaching search conducted under Mark Davis in just 13 years since he became the owner and the third time the Raiders are looking for a coach and general manager in the past three years.

So, we get that this can be an anxious time and not exactly super fun.

But could this year be different because the fact that Tom Brady is a big part of the hiring process and there are some big-names targets being floated around?
We asked our readers if they are enjoying this offseason so far.

Here are some of your responses:

Recoil
I can’t say I am enjoying it, because it’s always in the back of my mind that the Raiders will do something dumb any second, but I do have a little hope and optimism so far.

I just feel like we are in good hands with Brady…I have to give Mark credit for listening to experts about the football side of things to make the decisions instead of him in control of the Raider ship…And because of that, I think things are definitely going in the right direction…Keep your head up Nation!…LFG!!!

Excited about more change? No not really.

is what it is….Hopefully this go round Mark Davis steps aside and lets Tom Brady make the decision. He has proven he is not capable of making the right one. With that said GM is what it is – Greenberg had more input in Tampa Bay than Spytek did, but Spytek knows TB. Sullivan has put together the youngest roster in the NFL. Rams might be another team to look at. To me its more about talent evaluation, and if need be hire somebody for the books. As far as HC – I am good with Mike McCarthy , Pete Carroll, or Ben Johnson. (in that order) I just think this might be a huge challenge for a rookie GM/ Coach combo.

All I can say is, I feel better about Tom and the people he’ll potentially bring in than I ever did with Mark. Hopefully I still feel this way a couple of years from now.
They better get a move on here.. the Titans are bringing in Spytek for a second interview.

I’m not enjoying it. I’m interested, but I’ll wait to enjoy anything until I see what kind of staff they put in place.

Raidmagic
I really want to but every year it’s the same thing. “It’s gonna be different” Every year there is a new shiny toy and all our hopes and expectations are up and we lay another egg. I think this year I’ll just follow along and see what next year brings. We’ve long passed the threshold of insanity.

IoRaider
I guess I can definitely admit it’s never boring. Something always seems to happen year in and year out.

Yes with Tom Brady driving absolutely there won’t be any emotional decisions like Mark Davis. And he is all about being the best. So yes I’m enjoying this offseason
