Could he be the pick at No. 6?
Yes, there is still a chance the Las Vegas Raiders will use the No. 6 overall pick on a quarterback in the April 24-26 NFL draft.
Sports Illustrated reported Wednesday morning that Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders will visit the Raiders’ Henderson, Nevada headquarters on Monday,
In addition to the group there now, the Raiders also have a 30 visit slated for Monday with Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, sources say. So with Geno Smith locked up through ’27—and Sanders, Ewers, Howard and Dart all visiting—Vegas is kicking tires on developing a QB behind him. https://t.co/VsVB4MPhPx

It has long been speculated that Sanders could be a target of the Raiders, dating back to last year. Of course, the Raiders’ need for a quarterback lessened last month when they traded a third-round pick (No. 92) to the Seattle Seahawks for veteran Geno Smith. He signed an extension with the Raiders last week and will be under contract through the 2027 season.
Sanders has been a polarizing draft prospect this offseason, but if the Raiders want him, taking him at No. 6 is probably his wheelhouse. The news of Sanders’ upcoming visit continues a long list of quarterback visits for the Raiders, will will host Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart and Ohio State’s Will Howard (he played under new Las Vegas’ offensive coordinator Chip Kelly last year) are part of a mass group of visitors in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
Sanders has a relationship with both Smith and new Raiders’ part owner Tom Brady.
Texas’ Quinn Ewers recently visited and ESPN reported Wednesday that Louisville’s Tyler Shough will visit as well and there could be more.

Whether it’s Sanders or not, a rookie quarterback is likely coming to Las Vegas this month.
