San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance is still on the mend after he fractured his ankle last year but he’s not going through it alone.
Lance worked out with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Dallas last month and said that he learned “a ton” from arguably the best quarterback in football.
“I learned a ton,” Lance said, via Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports. “I was able to focus on the right things. Just having a better idea, even better this year coming into year three of what is expected of me, how to run the offense, being able to watch Jimmy and Brock play at such a high level.”
This is great news for 49ers fans as Lance is trying to prove that he was worthy of being picked third overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.
So far, he has only started in four games and has thrown for 797 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions.
He’ll look to give Brock Purdy a good run for his money in regard to the starting job once training camp starts in July.
