Tom Brady finally answered to the reports of the San Francisco 49ers’ interest this past offseason. Well, kind of…
During the GOAT’s Tuesday media tour following his brand’s big merger with Nobull, Brady was asked by ESPN’s Pat McAfee about whether there was any truth to the article in which Brock Purdy confirmed that Kyle Shanahan wanted to sign him. Here’s what Tom had to say:
In this last season, there’s a lot of different things that people would suggest, but I kind of just kept my mind focused on where I wanted to go. Again, this was a great year for me to sit back and watch and learn and get prepared for being in the Fox booth next year.
“Brock Purdy has done a great job and I know he’s got a chip on his shoulder..
I have so much respect for the 49ers organization and Kyle Shanahan” @TomBrady #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/jn4HaCuK0c

Even with his second retirement announcement, it sounds like Brady was still very much open to a potential return to the National Football League.
Instead, the seven-time Super Bowl winner elected to sign with FOX to the tune of 10 years, $375 million.
