In a similar situation to their earlier losses to the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals, the San Francisco 49ers were leading just over 2:30 remaining in Sunday’s contest against the Seattle Seahawks.
After failing to extend their lead on offense, the 49ers leaned on their defense to close out the Seahawks and secure a much-needed victory. With a win on Sunday, the 49ers would’ve extended their win streak to three games while being in the mix for first place in the NFC West.
Yet, Geno Smith had different plans. Down the stretch, the 49ers had no answer for the Seahawks passer as he led his team down the field for a back-breaking touchdown drive to steal the game from the 49ers, 20-17. Smith scrambled for a 13-yard rushing touchdown with 12 seconds left on the clock to deal the 49ers another devastating loss.
With the 49ers now sitting at 5-5, here’s a look at some of the good, and all of the bad from Sunday’s Week 11 loss to the Seahawks in Santa Clara.
