Jets general manager Joe Douglas on Wednesday told reporters his club has given embattled quarterback Zach Wilson permission to seek a trade.
Given that the 49ers don’t have any quarterbacks aside from Brock Purdy under contract for 2024, the question has to be asked whether the team should kick tires on the former No. 2 overall pick.
We’ve made the case already that San Francisco should be using one of its 11 draft picks on a signal caller to be either QB2 or QB3 this season, but they could wind up instead using one of those picks to facilitate a deal with New York for the QB.
