Dre Greenlaw is also out, while Nick Bosa is once again doubtful
The San Francisco 49ers issued their final injury report ahead of their Sunday matchup against the Chicago Bears.
OUT
LT Trent Williams (ankle)
S George Odum (knee)
RB Jordan Mason (ankle)
LB Dre Greenlaw
Mason could land on the Injured Reserve as soon as Saturday with a high-ankle sprain.
Asking Greenlaw to play on Sunday with a quick turnaround the following Thursday in his first two games off an Achilles injury is short-term thinking.
You could make the same case for Trent Williams, who will miss his third game in a row. If we’re trying to think the same way the 49ers are, they want to find any way to beat the Bears, then it’s an all-hands on deck game on Thursday in a divisional showdown against the Los Angeles Rams.
DOUBTFUL
DL Nick Bosa (hip/oblique)
Bosa likely falls into the same category as the duo above. If he can’t play, it’ll be the third game Bosa misses as well.
QUESTIONABLE
S Talanoa Hufanga (wrist)
LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (knee)
G Aaron Banks (concussion)
Charvarius Ward didn’t practice Friday due to a non-injury/personal matter, but he’s expected to play on Sunday.
The way Ben Bartch has played, Banks could be viewed as an addition by subtraction.
