After leading the San Francisco 49ers to an incredible comeback in the NFC Championship Game, second-year quarterback Brock Purdy had a heartwarming moment at midfield with his fiancée, Jenna Brandt.
Purdy and Brandt shared a kiss as the crowd at Levi’s Stadium celebrated one of the most epic playoff games the NFL has ever seen.
On Monday night, Brandt posted a photo of her and Purdy on Instagram.
“The BEST feeling,” Brandt wrote. “God is good – all the time.”
During this past Sunday’s postgame press conference, Purdy talked about his faith. It allowed him to remain calm even when the 49ers were trailing 24-7.
“When I’m down 17 at the half, honestly, I’m just thinking, ‘All right God, You’ve taken me here, and win or lose I’m going to glorify You.’ That’s my peace, the joy, the steadfastness — that’s where I get it,” Purdy said.
If Purdy leads the 49ers to a Super Bowl victory on Feb. 11, it would solidify his status as a legend in the Bay Area – regardless of what people think about his skillset.
