The NFL schedule was released on Wednesday night and it has Nick Wright concerned for one team this upcoming season.
Wright is concerned that the San Francisco 49ers will get off to a slow start this season since they start the year with games against the New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings, and Los Angeles Rams.
“They have a few pockets of really tough games. Chiefs, Cowboys is a brutal spot, and then at Green Bay and at Buffalo in late November, early December with Brock Purdy and his small hands that shrink in the cold. I think it is more likely the Niners find themselves heading into the end of the season fighting to get into the playoffs than positioning for a 1-seed,” Wright said.

Wright could be correct but the problem with looking at the games right now is that so much can happen over the next several months.
Games that look difficult right now could get easier if some teams aren’t as good as some project them to be or if injuries happen.
The 49ers will look to prove Wright wrong when they start their 2024 season on Sept. 9 against the Jets.
San Francisco is coming off winning the NFC in 2023, only to suffer a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
