The San Francisco 49ers have a big decision to make at quarterback heading into next season.
Trey Lance is coming off a broken ankle and is expected to be ready for OTAs, while Brock Purdy is set to be out for at least the next six months after he suffered a complete tear of his UCL on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Garoppolo’s contract is up in March after he signed a one-year deal to remain with the team last year.
That has led the NFL community to speculate about what the 49ers will do at the position for next season.
“I’d say keep Purdy and Jimmy then trade Lance ’cause he has the most value that could contribute to getting another player that can help your chances,” one tweet read.
“Gotta let Jimmy walk & deal with Trey/Purdy,” another tweet read.
“Tom Brady is about to start for the Niners next year, isn’t he?” another tweet read.
What do you think the 49ers should do?
