We’ll have football every weekend until the Super Bowl from here on out. Even if it’s only preseason football, it’s officially back.
There are two games on tonight’s slate, as Washington’s Football team takes on the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers are on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. Both games have a 4:30 p.m. PT start time.
Ryan Fitzpatrick will get a series for WFT. He won’t have Curtis Samuel to throw to, as he’s still on the PUP list with a groin injury, but Terry McLaurin and rookie wideout Dyami Brown should lead to a couple of deep Fitzpatrick heaves.
Washington’s defense will be without Montez Sweat, who is out with an illness, but they still have two threats on the defensive line with Chase Young and Montez Sweat. Washington also added William Jackson at cornerback and the first-round linebacker in Jamin Davis.
New England’s starter is Cam Newton, but, as is the case with San Francisco, all eyes will be on their rookie starter making his debut. Mac Jones, who graduated to wearing the No. 10 after rocking No. 50 during training camp is bound to connect with Kendrick Bourne for a first down, right?
If you have NFL Gamepass, you can stream the games live on their app all preseason. That’s probably the easiest way to watch a preseason game if you live out of market.
As for the other game, how long until Deshaun Watson is an Eagle? Also, Najee Harris is a fun player to watch no matter who you root for.
