49ers fans are interested in one of those games
Anyone who cares about the NFC West (that means you, San Francisco 49ers fans) will be watching one of the two Monday Night Football games tonight. We have the Tennesse Titans taking on the Miami Dolphins and the Seattle Seahawks traveling to face the Detroit Lions. Guess which one everyone will be watching.
Titans-Dolphins
If the NFL could flex Titans-Dolphins, they probably would. The Dolphins still don’t have a quarterback while the Titans haven’t had a single win this season. To be fair, they played the likes of Chicago Bears, New York Jets, and Green Bay Packers—which isn’t exactly an easy schedule. Well, except for the fact the Bears haven’t been that great and the Packers had Malik Willis at quarterback.
So no, the Titans aren’t exactly good. Most of it stems to their offense which has some issues.
Meanwhile the Dolphins started out decent, but quickly went to mediocrity with the injury to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. It’s hard to guess how good the Seattle Seahawks are this year, since they were basically gifted the quarterback-less Dolphins in Seattle, which is a nortiously tough place to play. Both teams are probably not doing much in 2024, sadly.
With all this doom and gloom, there’s always gambling on these teams! FanDuel Sportsbook has the dolphins favored by 2.5 points. Take the Dolphins. The Titans have lost games by at least seven points in the last three weeks, and the backup in Green Bay helped them lose by 16 in Week 3. The Dolphins will also be without running back Raheem Mostert, but they should be able to win this by more than two and a half.
While picking a team is hard, I have no problem with the under of 37.5 points. This game is going to be boring. 21-10 boring is what I’m thinking.
Seahawks-Lions
This game on the other hand everyone will be watching and San Francisco 49ers fans have vested interest in. The Seahawks are currently 3-0 and just got off a hobbled Dolphins team. It’s hard to decide what the 2024 Seahawks are. They have beaten the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins. That’s not exactly a collection of quality wins.
Then again, the 49ers lost to the Los Angeles Rams last week so I’m not one to talk.
My point is, we really don’t know what the Seahawks are at this point. They have the Lions tonight. A Detroit win would make a wonderful weekend for the 49ers as they would only be one game behind the Seahawks in the divisional race. The Seahawks chedule gets tougher; they have the New York Giants next week, but then the Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, and the 49ers. All of those games, even the Rams, are not gimmies.
The Lions only loss this year came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who stomped the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. It’s hard to see what kind of team they have as well. Regardless of the ambiguity of each team, this is going to be an awfully fun game.
FanDuel Sportsbook has the Lions favored by 4.5 points. Man, I don’t like this spread. Part of me thinks the Lions will blow up this evening and expose the Seahawks. The other part of me thinks it’s going to be close with a last minute field goal. I still think take the Lions to cover. The Seahawks’ party is over. As far as the over/under? I have a good one: The Lions over. They are going to get more than 25.5 points in this. I believe in Jared Goff.
Go Lions.
