The 49ers are planning to borrow $120 million from the NFL’s stadium fund to upgrade Levi’s Stadium, according to The Athletic.
Levi’s Stadium needs upgrades to its premium seating and scoreboards before it hosts World Cup games in 2026. It’s also possible the venue hosts a Super Bowl in the future.
The fans in the Bay Area wasted no time listing changes the 49ers should make to Levi’s Stadium.
For the most part, 49ers fans are glad upgrades are coming to Levi’s Stadium. Of course, there are fans that wish the team just moved back to San Francisco.

The 49ers have been playing at Levi’s Stadium since the 2014 season. The venue is located in Santa Clara.
Time will tell if these upgrades to Levi’s Stadium actually improve the experience for the fans.
