It’s going to be a bit weird not seeing Jimmy Garoppolo in a red uniform next season.
Garoppolo, who had been with the San Francisco 49ers for the previous six seasons, will be wearing silver and black in 2023 after agreeing to a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. He’s set to be their starting quarterback after they released Derek Carr.
Garoppolo has been made famous for being hard to contact during the offseason and that held true on Tuesday when his former head coach Kyle Shanahan said that he hasn’t spoken to him.
“That would be impossible. You’ve gotta run into Jimmy to have a conversation with him,” Shanahan said.
#49ers coach Kyle Shanahan was asked if he’s talked to Jimmy Garoppolo since he moved on to the Raiders.
Shanahan’s response: “That would be impossible. You’ve gotta run into Jimmy to have a conversation with him.”

Hey, sometimes people want to stay off their phones/laptops during the offseason.
Garoppolo’s contract expired after the season was up and the 49ers opted to not bring him back since they have both Brock Purdy and Trey Lance returning.
Maybe Josh McDaniels will have better luck at reaching Garoppolo over these next several weeks/months.
