The San Francisco 49ers’ recent quarterback history could be made into a movie.
In the span of just six years, they’ve gone from Jimmy Garoppolo to Trey Lance and now to Brock Purdy. Before that, they had Alex Smith for seven seasons before Colin Kaepernick took over for four seasons.

The 49ers enter this season with Brock Purdy as their quarterback after he performed well last year when he took over for Garoppolo. Garoppolo then signed with the Las Vegas Raiders during the offseason.
They dealt Lance to the Dallas Cowboys over the weekend after he couldn’t figure it out over the last two years.
It’s a new era for the 49ers and they’ll be hoping that this one lasts a long time.
