ESPN’s Herm Edwards is coming under a bit of fire on social media for his latest claim.
On yesterday’s radio show, the former Arizona State head coach claimed: “I always knew what kind of quarterback Brock Purdy was. I recruited him out of high school. But he ended up going to Iowa.”
Which doesn’t exactly pass the sniff test…
“Arizona State did not offer a scholarship to Brock Purdy and Brock Purdy went to Iowa State, but other than that this is spot on,” RedditCFB replied.

Edwards’ comments seem questionable at best but what isn’t questionable is that Purdy has helped guide the 49ers to the Super Bowl.
They’ll face the Chiefs Feb. 11 in Vegas.
