““I’ve heard that they’ve already told Saleh, ‘We will make you the highest-paid defensive coordinator in all the land if you sign with us,’” Barrows continued. “And so now, it’s just a matter of waiting for Saleh, and he’s getting all sorts of head coaching attention.
“He’s already interviewed with the Jaguars. He’s got the Raiders coming up on Friday. I’m told he’s got the Cowboys coming up on Saturday.”
There is also a possibility that other teams may also offer Saleh their defensive coordinator positions, potentially complicating matters for the 49ers if Saleh doesn’t land a head coaching role.
“I don’t know what Saleh would pick if he had multiple defensive coordinator positions,” Barrows said. “I know that he’s got a strong relationship with Kyle Shanahan. And, like I said, I know that the 49ers have made a strong offer. It’s supposed to be top of the market. Will it be at the end of this cycle? I don’t know. But the point was that it was supposed to be a strong offer to signal to him that we really want you back here.”

““There isn’t much divide between Kelvin Banks Jr. and Campbell, so the San Francisco 49ers will be thrilled if either of these gents slides into their laps,” Pro Football Network noted. “Maybe Banks (or Campbell) will be able to keep San Fran’s running backs out of the ER.”
Last season, Banks earned an impressive 89.8 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus, the fifth-highest mark among all collegiate offensive linemen. Over 537 pass-blocking snaps, he allowed just one sack and 10 total pressures.”
“Griese joined head coach Kyle Shanahan’s staff in 2022 after a successful run as a broadcaster. Before transitioning to coaching and media, he played 11 seasons as an NFL quarterback after the Denver Broncos selected him in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft.
Meanwhile, the Jets continue their search for a new head coach, reportedly having interviewed at least 15 candidates as they work to fill the vacancy.”
