49ers sign Jennings to contract extension through 2025 season
“Jennings’ new contract is worth up to $15.4 million over the next two seasons, with $10.5 million in guaranteed money, ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported, citing agents Drew and Jason Rosenhaus.”
49ers OTA observations: Purdy, Pearsall developing chemistry
“Pearsall has looked to be a quick study with his extended practice reps after being the No. 31 overall pick in the draft. He has seen significant work with Purdy and the first-team offense while Aiyuk and Jennings have not been on the field.”
Kawakami: This 49ers negotiating season, the spotlight is on Jed York (paywall)
“The money is there. But I think we’re going to see some tussling over it in the next few months and years. We’ve already started to see it. And one of the main characters in the storyline, at least until the 49ers get to training camp in late July (and maybe even after that, if some star players are holding out into August), will be Jed York, who hasn’t done a lot wrong lately but has some massive checks to write if he wants to keep things going right.”
“San Francisco 49ers offensive line/run game coordinator Chris Foerster and special teams coordinator Brian Schneider spoke to reporters after Wednesday’s practice during organized team activities (OTAs). Here is everything they had to say.”
“[Darrel Luter Jr] intercepted a pass that Brandon Allen airmailed way beyond the intended receiver, Terique Owens. Luter hasn’t given up any big catches so far and he is beginning to make some plays when they come to him. His stock is up….CB Renardo Green.. played nickelback for the second-team defense and broke up a pass over the middle intended for Ronnie Bell. Green covered him man-to-man with ease. It’s still early, but he appears to be the third-best cornerback on the team after Charvarius Ward and Lenoir.
