What does 49ers’ deal for Trey Lance have to do with a trade for Myles Garrett? (paywall)
“Lynch went on to discuss this year’s draft in which the 49ers are expected to have 10 picks, including No. 11 overall and four selections in the first three rounds. A trade for Garrett could require the 49ers to surrender much of their early round capital and would be the ultimate all-in move for 2025: Garrett’s presence could give them a boost next season, and they’d worry about the likely consequences of having an aging roster and yet another draft without high-end picks later.
But that approach would fly in the face of the 49ers’ philosophy under Lynch and Shanahan. Last month Shanahan said they’ve formed a strong partnership over their eight seasons together partly because they’ve been aligned on their long-term vision: They want to have sustained success, meaning their decisions aren’t just about the current season.”
49ers select ‘explosive’ pass rusher in CBS Sports mock draft
“Campbell is, in a word, explosive,” Wilson wrote. “He can rush the pass from the edge, or play off-ball linebacker and he’ll look like the best player on the field from either position.”
In 2024, Campbell led Alabama with 117 tackles and recorded five sacks, adding an interception, two passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.”
49ers use 3 picks to bolster O-line in PFF’s 7-round mock draft
“Here’s a rundown of Liskiewitz’s projected selections for the 49ers from rounds four through seven, which includes six picks:

- Round 4, Pick 137: LB Cody Lindenberg, Minnesota
- Round 4, Pick 138: C Jonah Monheim, USC
- Round 5, Pick 149: RB Kyle Monangai, Rutgers
- Round 6, Pick 187: QB Kurtis Rourke, Indiana
- Round 7, Pick 256: WR Jaylin Lane, Virginia Tech”
49ers double-dip on offensive linemen in ESPN’s 2-round mock draft
“In Miller’s mock draft, Simmons is the third offensive lineman selected, following LSU’s Will Campbell (New York Jets, No. 7) and Texas’ Kelvin Banks Jr. (Chicago Bears, No. 10).
In the second round, Miller has the 49ers selecting North Dakota State offensive lineman Grey Zabel, a player he believes could be a long-term replacement for Brendel at center.
“The 49ers could address the offensive line again to try to further fix that problem unit,” Miller explained. “Zabel has played tackle, guard and center, but I think he fits best inside, where his toughness and awareness could make him a star. He turned heads during Senior Bowl practices.”
