The tampering is underway, as deals are beginning to flow in with free agency in the NFL getting started this week.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams is signing with the Los Angeles Rams on a two year deal worth $46 million and including $26 million guaranteed.
Adams was reportedly set on returning to the West Coast. Now, he will likely slide into the Cooper Kupp role and complement Puka Nucua. He was productive as a 32-year-old in New York. Adams had 67 receptions for 854 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Now, Adams gets an upgrade at quarterback and play-caller.
Kyle’s update, 4:51 p.m. PT: The Pittsburgh Steelers are trading for Seattle Seahawks wideout DK Metcalf. Pittsburgh will send Seattle a second-round pick in exchange for Metcalf. The teams will also flip sixth and seventh-round picks. Additionally, Metcalf is signing a new five-year, $150-million contract in Pittsburgh.
A linebacker who played under Robert Saleh with the Jets was linked to the 49ers this offseason. Jamien Sherwood never reached free agency, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted that Sherwood is returning to the Jets on a three-year deal for $45 million with $30 million guaranteed.
Veteran pass rusher Harold Landry is signing a three-year deal with the New England Patriots for $43.5 million, including $26 million fully guaranteed.
