Both teams have something to play for tonight. Should be a great matchup.
Tonight’s Sunday Night Football matchup has the San Francisco 49ers’ NFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Rams, hosting the Philadelphia Eagles. If you care about how the divisional race works out, this is something to watch. On the other hand, you might not be interested if you’re still frustrated over the 49ers’ loss.
Like them or hate them, the Rams have dug themselves out of a massive hole to start the season. Should they win tonight, they will be tied with the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals for first place in the NFC West. Yes, tiebreakers apply, but three teams will be at the six-win mark. The Cardinals lost today in their game against the Seahawks, 16-6, so there already is a tie for first.
Despite injuries, the Rams have managed to keep things steady and get some wins. Credit to them. All those injuries are not fun at the beginning of the season, and they overcame it.
The Eagles are also fighting to hold onto their own one-game lead in their division. That lead is over the Washington Commanders, who lost today to the Dallas Cowboys 34-26. The Eagles can extend their lead in the division and keep pace with playoff seeding. If the season ended today, they’d be the second seed and the Detroit Lions the first seed.
FanDuel Sportsbook has the Eagles favored by three points. Thinking the Eagles can win this, but I also feel it could be close. I’d be more optimistic with the Eagles at -2.5, but I guess I’ll take the three points. The Over-Under is 48.5, and I don’t know what to take there. Given the offenses involved, I’ll take the over.
Now, prop bets. This is easy. FanDuel has a four-leg same-game parlay. Back four players and get paid. For the Eagles, it’s running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver A.J. Brown. For the Rams, it’s both wide receivers Puka Nacua and Cooper Cupp. I’m down for a bet on that. All four of them need an anytime touchdown tonight for you to get paid.
On that note, I also have money on Saquon Barkley getting the first touchdown in the game. Throw some cash on that one as well. Good luck to you, and hopefully, a payout will ease the pain of the game we saw this afternoon.
