Day 2 NFL Draft thread: Expect the unexpected

We’re onto the second day of the NFL Draft. The San Francisco 49ers have two selections today— one at the end of the second and third rounds.

The Niners have also been linked to trade rumors involving wide receivers Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and Jauan Jennings. If Jennings is traded, that’s likely to come on Saturday for a Day 3 pick. Remember, Jennings was a seventh-round pick, so any compensation in return for him is a win.

Samuel, a standout player, was drafted in the early second round. The most recent reports suggest that Deebo could be on the move. The draft is a time of surprises, so expect the unexpected.

A wide receiver is no longer needed unless one of the trio from above gets moved. The Niners could use help along the offensive line and depth in the secondary or defensive line.
