The Lions will have something to say about that
The Washington Commanders accomplished a rare feat during the Wild Card round. It’s not often a rookie quarterback goes on the road and wins in the NFL during the regular season, let alone the playoffs.
Jayden Daniels puts on a show every time the Commanders are on primetime. We saw how leaky the Detroit Lions could be firsthand a few weeks ago. Washington has been the king of variance this season on late downs. Generally speaking, that’s not a sustainable way to win the NFL. But Daniels has defied the odds all season, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him continue to thrive.
The problem is will Washington have enough possessions to keep pace with a Lions offense that can and has scored on any and everybody in the NFL. A possession when Detroit doesn’t score is a surprise. Jared Goff should have a big day, while their running back duo will have a field day on the ground.
The Lions win, but the Commanders won’t go without a fight.
