Believe it or not, Colin Kaepernick made a surprise cameo appearance on an ESPN graphic this week.
ESPN was highlighting Patrick Mahomes’ QBR entering Super Bowl LVIII. His QBR is 90.2 after playoff games against the Dolphins, Bills and Ravens.
Mahomes has the fourth-highest QBR entering the Super Bowl since 2006. Peyton Manning (90.4) and Matt Ryan (90.5) had a slight edge over him.
Kaepernick, meanwhile, had a 91.2 QBR during the 2012 playoffs. He led the 49ers to electric wins over the Packers and Falcons that postseason due to his dual-threat capabilities.
In case fans forgot about Kaepernick’s success during the 2012 postseason, he reminded them on Instagram.
Kaepernick had 798 passing yards, 264 rushing yards and seven total touchdowns during the 2012 postseason. Unfortunately, he came up short in the Super Bowl against the Ravens.
Mahomes, on the other hand, has a chance on Feb. 11 to capture his third Super Bowl ring at the young age of 28.
