We will see how motivated the Niners are in a must-win game
The San Francisco 49ers host the Chicago Bears in a game both teams need to keep their playoff dreams alive.
The home team hopes for a quick start. Who better to provide that than Isaac Guerendo? If he can provide an option both on the ground and out of the backfield, Kyle Shanahan will be able to take advantage of the Bears’ defense.
As we know, moving the ball isn’t the issue. The problem with the 49ers comes when it’s time to score in the red zone. That’s another area where regression should hit for San Francisco, especially with multiple opportunities.
And they’ll need to score against a Bears offense that comes alive as the game progresses. So, early stops and touchdowns will go a long way in the 49ers being ahead late. They don’t have to do anything drastically different defensively. Making open field tackles will solve a lot of issues.
