Kyle’s update, 4:48 p.m. PT: Kyle Shanahan said the plan is for the 49ers to add a fourth QB during the UDFA period. He said, “the guys upstairs are working on it now.” Shanahan added that he isn’t worried if the team is unable to add another quarterback: “Hopefully, we get Brock back soon.” Sam Darnold and Trey Lance have been throwing during OTAs.
Welcome to the second part of the draft: Undrafted Free Agency. Now that the 2023 NFL Draft has concluded, the 49ers will now round out their roster with the talent that didn’t get drafted.
UDFAs have a choice in the team they go to which can sometimes influence the final decision. We’ll track all the roster spots here.

Update 4:15: 49ers got an offensive lineman. In his post-draft press conference, John Lynch said not taking an o-lineman was a vote of confidence in Colton McKivitz. Joey Fisher is one strong dude and should be a nice developmental piece.

Pat’s Update 5:01: Confirmation of Luciano and it looks like Kyle Shanahan has a new fullback.

Oregon State LB/FB Jack Colletto and Washington C Corey Luciano.
Colletto an interesting player who had plenty of interest. During his college career, he played QB, LB and FB at various points.
