The San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday announced 15 signings to their practice squad.
New NFL practice squad rules allow teams to carry 16 players, including six veterans with no limits on service time. An additional player is allowed via the NFL’s international pathway program.
There were a handful of players the 49ers likely hoped to get back on the practice squad who landed with other teams. Linebacker Jalen Graham was claimed off waivers by the Washington Commanders, cornerback Samuel Womack was claimed by the Indianapolis Colts, offensive lineman Jarrett Kingston was claimed by the Carolina Panthers and running back Cody Schrader was claimed by the Los Angeles Rams.
No 49ers waiver claims were awarded. The 15 players they did land on their practice squad were all with the club during training camp.
