The 49ers will be short-handed across the board
We’re about an hour away from the San Francisco 49ers kicking off against the Green Bay Packers. The injury report is out, and left tackle Trent Williams, who didn’t practice all week with an ankle injury, was officially ruled out. That means we’ll see Jaylon Moore start at left tackle for the offense.
Moore has started seven games during his four-year career, including two last year. His forte is in pass protection. Run blocking isn’t Moore’s strength, so we’ll see how Kyle Shanahan tailors his game plan against Green Bay without one of the best players in the NFL in Williams.
Here is a look at the inactive list:
QB Brock Purdy
DT Kevin Givens
WR Jacob Cowing
CB Charvarius Ward
DE Nick Bosa
LT Trent Williams
DT Khalil Davis
Will Ricky Pearsall return punts with Cowing out? He did at the University of Florida in 2023.
