With the San Francisco 49ers uncharacteristically struggling, Kyle Shanahan’s name has been floated in different head coaching rumors, including a potential trade with the Chicago Bears.
Following the 49ers dominant victory over the Bears on Sunday, Shanahan addressed the trade rumors. Shanahan questioned the rumors and affirmed his desire to stay in the Bay Area with the 49ers.

The Bears recently fired head coach Matt Eberflus and are now on the hunt for a new signal caller to pair with No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams. In three seasons with the Bears, Eberflus posted a 14-32 overall record in Chicago.
In eight seasons with the 49ers, Shanahan has recorded a 69-58 regular-season record to go along with four postseason appearances and two trips to the Super Bowl.
Shanahan and the 49ers handled the Bears on Sunday, cruising to a much-needed 38-13 in Santa Clara to keep their slim playoff chances alive.
