We will see an old face today against Arizona
The San Francisco 49ers announced some roster moves on Saturday, and one of them involves a familiar face: Trent Taylor. He has been activated from the practice squad, and this will be the second time in the 2024 season that he suits up.
Along with Taylor, the 49ers activated offensive lineman Drake Nugent from the practice squad.
The 49ers also promoted linebackers Alex Barrett and DaShaun White to the active roster from the practice squad.
To make room for Barrett and White on the roster, the 49ers placed offensive lineman and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles on injured reserve.
While there may not be much work for Taylor today, 49ers fans will remember him as one of the players out of Kyle Shanahan’s first draft class in 2017. Taylor showed promise as a rookie with 430 yards and two touchdowns, but he only managed half of those yards the following year. He never cracked 100 yards after 2018.
Still, it’s nice to see a familiar face.
