49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk missed practice due to an illness, while Colton McKivitz had an apparent setback
The San Francisco 49ers have a lengthy injury list. It’s the Friday injury report, but with a Monday game, it’s technically “Thursday.” Here’s a list of the players who did not participate during practice:
LG Aaron Banks (knee)
DE Robert Beal (ankle)
OL Spencer Burford (calf)
LB Dre Greenlaw (calf)
FB Kyle Juszczyk (illness)
RT Colton McKivitz (knee)
Juszczyk was not listed on the injury report prior to today. McKivitz was limited on Thursday, so this is a step in the wrong direction. With McKivitz potentially out, that means the 49ers would be down to two starters along the offensive line — center Jake Brendel and right guard Dominick Puni.
Austen Pleasants would likely replace McKivitz, while Charlie Heck figures to take Burford’s place at left tackle. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Matt Hennesey worked in at left guard, if the 49ers feel more confident with him than Nick Zakelj.
For the second day in a row, safety Ji’Ayir Brown (ankle), edge rusher Leonard Floyd (shoulder), and running back Isaac Guerendo (foot/hamstring) were limited.
Defensive players Tatum Bethune, Nick Bosa, Jordan Elliott, Talanoa Hufanga, and Dee Winters were all full participants.
