All-Pac-12 running back Jadyn Ott scared Cal fans this Friday morning, that’s for sure.
Ott posted a video on X of him announcing that he’s entering the transfer portal. It turns out it was all just a prank.
“With that being said, I’ll be entering the transfer portal this upcoming season,” Ott said. “Respect my decision, please.”
After walking away from the camera, Ott returned to say, “I’m playing. I’m finna stay.”
Thank you Cal💔 pic.twitter.com/wRFYmJnOkl

Ott made an immediate impact as a freshman for Cal, rushing for 897 yards and eight touchdowns. He was even better as a sophomore for the Golden Bears.
In 11 games this season, Ott had 1,260 rushing yards, 151 receiving yards and 13 total touchdowns. Not only did he earn All-Pac-12 honors, he was named a finalist for the finalist for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award.
With Ott back in the fold, Cal should have no issue running the football during its first season in the ACC.
